Robert D. Plathe, 19, of Alton died Sunday in a hospital in Orange City of injuries suffered in an auto accident near Granville.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Tues. in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton. The Rev. David Hogan officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery under the direction of the Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen. The rosary was recited by the parish at 3 and 8 p.m. Monday in St. Mary's Parish Hall in Alton.

Mr. Plathe was born Feb. 17, 1964 at Orange City. He attended St. Mary's Grade School and graduated from Floyd Valley High School at Alton in 1982. He was employed at Mid-West Precasting in Orange City.

Survivors include his parents, Virgil and Joyce Plathe of Alton and three brothers, Kevin, Nick both of Alton and Reed of Le Mars.
