Beach, Gertrude Miss died 1910

Alton Democrat July 16, 1910

Miss Gertrude - Evelyn Beach daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. W. Beach of Sheldon Iowa—died at the
home of her sister Mrs. E. G. Johnson at North Yakima Washington July seventh 1910 of typhoid lever. She had been sick a little over two weeks. Her mother and sisters Adelaide and Muriel were with her during her sickness and her father and brother Clayton L Beach of Hull were sent for but arrived a few hours too late to see her alive. She had been working as an assistant in the county assessor's office at North Yakima for about six months. She was a member of the Episcopal church and the funeral was held from that church July nineth. Her body was brought to Sheldon for burial July twelfth.

Besides those mentioned she leaves two brothers —Dr. A, W. Beach of Sheldon and S. L. Beach of Chicago. Gertrude Beach lived at Alton a number of years ago and moved to Hull with her parents in 1885 and from, there to Litchfield Minnesota in 1903, She had been in North Yakima about a year and a half.
