Dr. Charles L. Rolland, for many years a physician at Chatsworth, and who also operated a drug store there and served as postmaster for several terms, died at Humboldt, S.D. the latter part of last week from a cerebral hemorrhage, at the age of 70 years.

At the time of his death he was president of the Sioux Valley Medical Association and a charter member and past president of the Northwest Medical Society. He had practiced at Humboldt for the past fifteen years.

Dr. Rolland took an active part in community affairs during the time he lived at Chatsworth and still has a host of friends there who greatly regret to learn of his death.

Surviving are his widow and one daughter, Mrs. Helen Emerson of Chicago.
