Funeral services were held Sat. afternoon at the Trinity Reformed Church at Orange City with Rev. Boonstra officiating, for Albert Roghair 43 of Orange City. Burial was in Orange City.

Albert Roghair 43 of Orange City was killed Thursday when his car plowed iinto the rear of a milk truck one mile west of Junction City on highway 50 near Elk Point, S.D.
Investigating patrolmen said Roghair's car hit the rear of a truck driven by Louie J. Sieck of Vermillion as Sieck was making a left turn off the highway.
L.W. Anderson, Union County coroner said Roghair was dead when the officers arrived. He attributed death to a brain concussion. Sieck was shaken up in the accident, but otherwise uninjured.
John Anderson, Dakota state highway patrolman, said Roghair's new car, with only 400 milles on the speedometer, rolled over once and landed in a ditch after the crash. It was demolished he said.
The truck overturned in the graveled intersection. Damages have not been determined, the officer said.
Both vehicles were traveling east on the highway near the Union and Clay county line when the accident happened. Patrolman Andersen said. Roghair's body was taken to the Anderson funeral home at Elk Point.

Only two weeks earlier his son John Edward had rolled his older car on a gravel road a short distance west of Sioux Center. The father purchased the new Chevrolet only 10 days before the accident that took his life.
Mr. Roghair was associated with Ed Vande Vegte in a tank truck oil business known as the Sioux Transport Co. of Orange City.

Surviving are his widow and nine children; Mrs. Henry Auberg of Boyden, Mrs Howard Den Hartog of Hospers, Lorraine, John Edward, Barbara, Delmar, Ellen, Junior and Deanne all at home. Brothers and sisters surviving are Henry of Oakaton, S.D. Edward of Sioux Center, Nick and William of Alton, and Jake of Hartley, Henrietta (Mrs. Gt. Van Dam of Edgerton, MN, Gertrude (Mrs. Peter Wielenga), Johanna (Mrs. Frank Vander Broek), Jennie (Mrs. Lou Cleveringa), And Annamae (Mrs. Kenneth Groen) all of Orange City. Evelyn (Mrs. Earl Mormon) of May City, IA, and Julia (Mrs. Chester De Jong) of Hartley. A brother John preceded in death 31 years ago.
