Mrs. Flora Yates, 78, of Mora Minnesota, died last Wednesday, May 31, at the Mora Hospital.

The remains were brought to Hawarden to the Barnard Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Saturday afternoon in the Seventh-day Adventist Church with Reverend Coyle of Lambertoon, Minnesota officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Flora Heumphreus was born to Seth and Hannah Collier Heumphreus on June 5, 1882, in Page County, Iowa, and later came to Hawarden. She married Ernest Yates of Hawarden in January, 1903. Mr. Yates died in 1929. Mrs. Yates continued to live in Hawarden until nine years ago when she moved to Mora.

She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. George Schiefen of Hawarden, Mrs. Ed Mansfield of Mora, Minnesota, Mrs. Gladys Pederson and Mrs. Everett Carr of Minneapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Larson of Hawarden and Mrs. Hiram Hullinger of Page County, Iowa; two brothers, Wes Heumphreus of New Market, Iowa, and Ernest Heumphreus of San Francisco, 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Out of town people who attended the funeral were Mrs. Ed Mansfield of Mora, Minnesota. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Carr and Beverly of Hopkins, Minnesota, Mrs. Gladys Pederson, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hall and Ronald Carr of Minneapolis and Mrs. Gene Hamersma of Anoka, Minnesota.
