Death of Pioneer Resident Mrs. Josephine S. Willey Passed Away May 18th, at Hayward, Wis.
Mrs. S. E. Brown received word last Thursday of the death of Mrs. Josephine S. Willey, which occurred on Monday, May 18th, at the home of a relative at Hayward, Wis. No particulars regarding her death were given in the letter.

Mrs. Willey was one of the early day residents of Hawarden, coming here in the early 80s and conducted dressmaking parlors here, for many years. She was well known to the older residents of the city but had visited here only occasionally during the last twenty years. During recent years she spent much of her time at Clear Lake, Iowa, with her sister, Mrs. H. A. Bryan, but following Mrs. Bryan's death in October, 1923, she made her home with relatives at various places. She was about 75 years of age.
