Mrs. Lloyd West, 49, a resident of Hawarden, the past 15 months, died last Thursday in the Hawarden hospital, following a short illness.

Mrs. West came to Hawarden from Sioux Falls when Mr. West was named agent of the Chicago Milwaukee road here.

She was born November 2, 1905, at Egan, South Dakota. For 30 years preceding her coming to Hawarden, she had lived in Sioux Falls. She was a member of the Methodist Church of Hawarden. She was married to Lloyd West in May, 1923.

Survivors are the widower; three sons, Victor L. and L. Donald, both of Sioux Falls and Thomas of Hawarden; two daughters, Mrs. Will Archer of Sioux Falls, Marjorie of Hawarden; a brother, Lyle R. Lanning of Owatonna, Minnesota; a sister, Mrs. P.H. Laraway of Inglewood, California, and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 9:30 Saturday morning in the Methodist Church in Hawarden with Reverend S.A. Kruschwitz officiating. Afternoon services were held at 2:30 in the Miller Funeral home in Sioux Falls with Reverend J.V. Madison in charge.
