Funeral services for Andrew O. Johnson, 94, of Hudson, who died at the Panska Nursing Home Friday where he had been a patient for three weeks, were held at 2 o’clock Monday at the Lutheran Church in Hudson. Reverend Oliver Everson officiating. Burial was in Eden Cemetery at Hudson.

Casket bearers included six grandsons, Robert and Glenn Wright, Gordon and Gilbert Smith and Don and Gene Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was born January 1, 1867, at Huxley, Iowa. There he married Johanna Hemmingson December 6, 1890, and they moved to Sioux County near Ireton in 1892. They moved to a farm in Garfield township northeast of Hawarden in 1901 where they lived until 1920 when they moved to a farm near Fairview, South Dakota.

Following her death November 20, 1939, he continued farming until three years ago when he moved into Hudson and made his home with his son. He was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife and four children who died in infancy.

Survivors include five sons, Edwin of Humboldt, South Dakota, Marvin and Anthony, both of Fairview, Arthur of Hudson and Willard of Duluth, Minnesota; two daughters, Mrs. Porter (Mabel)Smith of Hudson and Mrs. Helen Wright of Hawarden; one brother, Albert Johnson and a sister, Mrs. Belle Seaboe, both of Huxley, Iowa; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Those from a distance attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Johnson of Humboldt, Willard Johnson of Duluth, Albert Johnson and Mrs. Belle Seaboe of Huxley, Mr. and Mrs. John Okland of Kelly, Iowa, Robert Wright of Des Moines, Glenn Wright of Minneapolis, Orville Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hemmingson and Mrs. Rose Nelson, all of Sioux Falls, and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Johnson of Garretson, South Dakota.
