Funeral services for Otto Krause, 56, of Hudson, who died Thursday at the hospital in Hawarden where he had been a patient eight weeks, were held at 2 o’clock Saturday at the Hudson Lutheran Church, Reverend O.V. Everson officiating. Burial was in Eden Cemetery there.

Mr. Krause was born near Centerville, South Dakota, on February 3, 1907. At the age of 12 he moved with his parents to Milbank, South Dakota.

He married Florence Smith on August 3, 1929, and they farmed near Revillo, South Dakota, until moving to a farm in the Hudson vicinity in 1936. In 1952 they moved into Hudson.

Mr. Krause was a member of the Lutheran Church in which faith he was baptized and confirmed. During his residence in Hudson he was engaged in carpentry until his illness.

He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, a sister, and one grandchild.

Survivors include the widow, Florence; two daughters, Darlene, Mrs. Sam Keizer of Luverne, Minnesota, and JoAnn, Mrs. Charles Gourley, Jr., of Granda Hills, California; a son, Gerald of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his mother, Mrs. J.F. Krause of Revillo, South Dakota; four brothers, Carl of Appelton, Minnesota, and Walter, Bill, and Albert of Revillo; seven sisters, Mrs. Elmer Weide of Dennison, Iowa, Mrs. Ernest Alpers of Atlantic, Iowa, Mrs. Reike Slater of Wayzata, Minnesota, Mrs. Ray Abner of Benson, Minnesota, Mrs. Fred Kreutner and Mrs. Henry Toucholke and Miss Rose Krause, all of Revillo, and 8 grandchildren.
