Eva Kroese, 83, of Sheldon, died Sunday, May 23, at Oak Park Care Center in Sheldon.

Services were Wednesday, May 26, at Bethel Reformed Church in Sheldon with the Reverend Kenneth Tenckinck officiated. Burial was in East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon.

Kroese, the daughter of John and Dena (Kastien) Vos was born June 19, 1909, in Hospers. She lived her youth and attended a county school in rural Sheldon.

She was united in marriage to John W. Kroese of Sheldon on May 28, 1926, in Primghar. They lived in Sheldon. Mr. Kroese died June 7, 1972.

She was a member of Bethel Reformed Church in Sheldon.

Survivors include three sons and their wives, Harold and Carole Kroese and Arthur and Valera Kroese, all of Tempe, Arizona, and Richard and Diane Kroese of Spirit Lake; two daughters and their husbands, Deanna and Gerry Noordhoek of Sioux Center, and Carolyn and Daryl Wasmund of Bigelow, Minnesota; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mageline Mulder of Sheldon.

He was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Clarence and Donald; one sister; and three brothers.
