Died: February 26, 2006 Chino, CaliforniaGeorge W. Jasper, 84, of Chino, entered into the loving arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Feb. 26, 2006 at Chino Valley Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 22, 1922 in Orange City, the 12th of 17 children. After serving his country in the U. S. Army during World War II, he married Clara Mulder in 1947. Together they moved their family from Orange City to Artesia, Ca. in 1956. He was a professional truck driver for 40 years.
The greatest joy of his life centered around his family and service in his church as an elder and choir member. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Clara, and their children; Elaine and Arlan Memmelaar of Escondido, CA, Gar and Beth Jasper of Prinsburg, MN, Bob and Joanne Jasper of Whittier, CA, Don and Diane Jasper of Running Springs, Renae and Alvin Venhuizen of Burnett, WI. and Rick and Arlys Jasper of Ontario, Ca. In addition he leaves behind 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, three brothers and four sisters, as well as numerous in-laws, nephews, nieces and friends.
Services were March 3, at First Chino United Reformed Church with a private interment at Riverside National Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Ontario Christian School of Inland Christian Home.
