Died: February 28, 1943Mrs. William (Elizabeth Boeyink) Kleene passed away at her home in Hull Sunday afternoon, February 28, 1943. She had been 66 years old last October.
Left to mourn her departure are her husband and seven children: Johanna (Mrs. Clarence De Vos) of Maurice, John at Sioux Center, Ida (Mrs. Arie Vierhout) of Hawarden, Henry at home, Anna at home, Pvt. Wilbert Kleene at Fort Bliss, Texas, and Clare at home. Also 13 grandchildren and two brothers, Gerrit and John Boeyink both of Sioux Center.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon, March 3, 1943 at 12:45 at the home and 1:30 at the First Reformed Church at Hull, with Reverend Douwstra officiating. Burial was made at the Hope Cemetery at Hull.
Mrs. Elizabeth Kleene was born in Wisconsin and spent the last 32 years in Hull vicinity. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Henry Van Peursem of Maurice and Mrs. H.K. Eggink of Sioux Center and two brothers, Henry and Ralph Boekink both of Sioux Center.
Private Wilbert Kleene arrived home from Texas on Monday to attend the funeral service
