Schedule Funeral Services For William A. Bos

Funeral services for William A. Bos will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Broadbent Chapel, with Rev. Robert Plastois officiating. Burial will be at Orange City, Ia.

Mr. Bos, manager of the Equity Union Creamery the past two years, died unexpectedly Wednesday night after suffering a heart attack at his office that afternoon.

Survivors include his widow, Florence Bos; two sons, Gerald of San Antonio, Tex., and Donald Bos, Minden, Neb.; two daughters, Lois and Dorothy, both of Minden, Neb.; also his father and two brothers.

The body will lie in sate this evening at the Broadbent Funeral Home from 7 to 9 o’clock.

OBITUARY.

WILLIAM A. BOS

William A. Bos, son of Peter and Nancy Bos, was born in 1898 in Orange City, Ia., and died Thursday in Mitchell.

At the age of 12, he moved to Clear Lake, S.D., and was married in 1920 to Myrtle Thompson. Four children were born to them.

During his years in South Dakota, he managed several different creameries in South Dakota and in 1952 came to Mitchell to manage the Equity Union Creamery.

Mr. Bos was married to Mrs. Florence Foxen in 1951 at Clark.

Survivors are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Weedlun and Mrs. Lois Macklin, both of Minden, Neb.; two sons, Gerald of San Antonio, Tex., and Donald of Minden, Neb.; his father; two brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Broadbent Chapel in Mitchell, with burial in Orange City.

The funeral services of Mr. William A. Bos, 55, of Mitchell, So. Dak., were held at the Van Etten Funeral Home Saturday noon. He died suddenly Wednesday after a heart attack. Both he and his wife, the former Florence Popma, were born in this community.

Gerald Bos of San Antonio, Texas, arrived with his family to attend the funeral of his father, Will Bos of Mitchell, S.D. The funeral was held in Orange City. Born in Orange City, William Bos was for some time in charge of the LeMars creamery. He later moved to Minden, Neb. His daughter-in-law, Mrs. Gerald Bos, was the former Frances Ewin of Seney.
