Joyce Sjaarda (Dykshorn) passed away early Wed. morning in Sioux City, IA. at the age of sixty-five years. On June 18, 1947 in Sioux Center, she was united in marriage to John Sjaarda who survives. To this union four children were born: John Martin Sjaarda of Sioux Center, IA; James Sjaarda of Ireton, IA; Judson Sjaarda of Sioux City, IA; and Joan, Mrs. Mark Wieman of Algona, IA. She is also survived by one sister, Lois, Mrs. Gordon Van Roekel of Sioux Center, IA; ten grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents. Joyce was a lifelong member of the First Reformed Church and was also a member of the Lydia Circle. She was a 4-H leader for more than twenty years.
