Joe De Vos, 72, of Sioux Center, died Saturday in a hospital at Sioux Center. Services were held Tuesday, in the First Reformed Church at Sioux Center. The Reverend Dr. Thurman Rynbrandt officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens.

Mr. De Vos was born September 5, 1908, in the Netherlands. He came to the United States at the age of 18 and to a farm in Sioux County. He married Alice Addink September 5, 1930. She died June 14, 1979. He was a truck driver for many years.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Casey (Jane Eva) Den Ouden of LeMars, Mrs. Jim (Henrietta) Jeltema of Orange City and Mrs. Gerald (Nelva) Ter Haar of Sioux Center; three sons. Cornie "Jack" of Sioux Center, Herman of Orange City and Marvin of LeMars: four brothers, William and Cornie, both of Sioux Center; Clarence of Hull and Tunis of Hudsonville. Michigan; two sisters; Mrs. Lena Keunen of Orange City and Mrs. Louis (Anna) Wynia of Rock Rapids: 20 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren.
