Born: September 17, 1912 Maurice, Iowa
Died: September 2, 1926 Maurice, Iowa

Geneva Jager, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hein Jager, passed away at her home at Maurice on Thursday, September 2, following an illness of about three weeks from typhoid fever.

The deceased was born at Maurice Sept. 17, 1912, so at the time of her death was 13 years, 11 months and 15 days old. To be thus taken so early in life is a great sorrow to her parents, brothers and sisters and many friends. Most of her life was spent in the vicinity of Maurice, but she came with her parents to Hawarden in 1922 where she lived until they again moved to Maurice in Nov. 1925. She attended public schools of Maurice and Hawarden where her loving disposition won her many friends. Besides her father and mother she leaves to mourn her death four sisters and four brothers, Mrs. Herman Van Dyke of Burke, S.D. Charlie Jager of Ireton, Dick and Harry Jager, Mrs. O. E. Liston and Mrs. Wm. J. McPherson of Hawarden; and Albert and Dorothy Jager of Maurice.

Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church of Maurice Saturday afternoon, Rev. Straks being in charge of the service. The remains were laid to rest in the Maurice cemetery.
