Funeral Services for Tom Klay set for Thursday for Mr. Tom Klay, 75, passed away at the Sheldon Hospital on Monday, November 3, following a heart attack. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 6, at 1:30 p. m. from the First Christian Reformed Church of Hull with the Rev. Willard De Vries officiating. Interment will take place in Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Peter Delire, Odean De Jong, William Gunnink, Eugene Leusink, Don Pluim and Nelson Horstman. The Kraai Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Klay was born July 31, 1894 at Rock Valley. He married Tillie Postma on a farm near Rock Valley on January 12, 1920. Before retiring and moving to the town of Hull, they resided on a farm North of Hull.

Survivors include two sons, Roger and Harold, both of Hull; two daughters, Marilyn (Mrs. Marion Koele) of Hull and Dolores (Mrs. Leo Van Engen) of Des Moines; a daughter-in-law, Irma (Mrs. Ed Scholten) of Hull: 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; a brother John Klay of Rock Rapids; three sisters, Miss Dorothy Klay of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. John Hedges of Iowa City and Mrs. Oscar Alden of Red Oak.

Preceding Mr. Klay in death were his wife who died in 1966; a son Merle who died in 1944; and a 10 months old daughter, Dorothy.
