Funeral services for Jessie Kroese, 82, of Sheldon, were held Monday, April 21, at 10:30 A.M. in the First Reformed Church of Sheldon. Pastors Louis Benes and H.A. Harmelink officiated. Burial was in the East Lawn Cemetery, under the direction of Vander Ploeg Funeral Home. Mrs. Kroese died April 17, at the Sheldon Christian Retirement Home.

Jessie Van Beek was born October 26, 1897, in Orange City. She married George Kroese in Sheldon on February 23, 1917. He passed away May 20, 1973.

Survivors include one daughter, Janice (Mrs. Howard) Lucas of Sheldon; two sons, Peter of Bellflower, California and Henry of Chino, California; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four brothers.
