Eunice V. Van Diepen, 71, Sioux City, died Friday, June 7, 1985, in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness. Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, in the Anderson- Perasso Funeral Home. Rev. A. T. Washington, pastor of the First United Methodist Church officiated.

Mrs. Van Diepen, the former Eunice V. Bowman, was born Dec. 28,1913, in Hammond LA. She married Jacob Van Diepen Aug 26, 1935 In Spencer. They came to Sioux City from Boyden in 1942 He died Aug. 28, 1968, in Sioux Falls, SD. Mrs. Van Diepen was a housemother at St. Joseph School of Nursing for 10 years and retired in 1978.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth of Pinellas Park, FL; a daughter, Mrs. Gene (Mary Charlene) Fredrickson of Ogden, UT; two brothers, Frank of Hinton and Kenneth of Sioux City; four sisters, Dorothy Jean Dudley of Newton, Ottis Snyder of Kansas, Marie Burton of Hawarden and Lucille Hays of Des Moines and five grandchildren
