Died: January 22, 1990Walter A. Moore, 89, of Rock Valley died Monday, January 22, at Valley Manor Nursing Home.
Services were at 11 A.M. Thursday, January 25, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church with Reverend Jim Demke officiating. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.
Moore was born July 1, 1900, in Lyon County, Iowa. He married Minnie Guyer February 1, 1925, in rural Rock Valley. They farmed south of Rock Valley until retiring into town in 1961.
He was a former member of Peace Lutheran Church and a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church after moving to Rock Valley.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie; two sons, Walter Moore of Rock Valley and Donald Moore of Spencer; a daughter, Arleen Miller of Sioux Center; a brother, George of Colorado Springs, Colorado; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
