Obel Lund, 68, of Hudson died Wednesday, April 10,1985, at his home in Hudson after a long illness. Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Hudson Lutheran Church. Rev. Allen Bidne officiated. Burial was in Bethany Lutheran Cemetery at Fairview under direction of Porter Funeral Home in Hudson.'

Mr. Lund was born Jan. 21, 1917, in Fairview and attended rural Fairview schools. He married Lois Baldwin Jan. 14, 1943, in Hudson. They farmed in the Canton and Hudson areas until 1974. They moved to Hudson in 1977 where he worked as custodian, at the Hudson Public School until 1984. Mr. Lund was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Fairview.

Survivors include his wife; one son, James of Sioux Falls; one daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Deborah) Howard of Littleton, CO; one brother, Colman of Hudson; two sisters, Mrs. Franklin (Leila) Twedt of Canton and Mrs. Irving (Gladys) Sanderson of Alexandria, VA, and three grandchildren.
