Memorial services for Wayne C. Van Beek, age 60 of Boyden, Iowa, who passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2007, at his home in Boyden, Iowa; his services were at 10:30 A.M. Monday, March 12, 2007 at the First Reformed Church in Boyden, Iowa with Reverend Matthew Draffen officiating.

Burial was at Sheridan Township Cemetery of Boyden, Iowa, with a graveside services at 10:00 A.M. just prior to the Memorial Service.

Wayne Carl Van Beek, was born on March 24, 1946 on the family farm in rural Hartley, Iowa. He received his education in the Sanborn Christian School and later Hull Western High School in Hull, Iowa. On May 21, 1971, he was united in marriage to Carman Tien in Sheldon, Iowa. After their marriage the couple moved to Rushmore, Minnesota to make their home and farmed for many years. They retired from farming in February of 2006 and moved to Boyden, Iowa to make their home. He passed away at his home in Boyden on Thursday, March 8, 2007, reaching the age of 60 years, 11 months and 14 days.

Wayne leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 35 years, Carman of Boyden; son, Brian and his wife, Amy Van Beek and their children, Taeden, age 4; Tyce, age 2; and Traevin, age 5 months of Sioux Center, Iowa; son, Eric Van Beek of Rock Valley, Iowa and his friend, Amy Anderson of Hull, Iowa; his mother, Agnes Van Beek of Sanborn, Iowa; four brothers and their wives, Calvin and Dee Van Beek of Sheldon, Iowa; Jerry and Laura Van Beek of Hartley, Iowa; Rodney and Linda Van Beek of May City, Iowa; Harlan and Kristy Van Beek of Sanborn, Iowa; a sister and her husband, Brenda and Jerry Balt of Sheldon, Iowa; also nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Gradda Tien of Phillipsburg, Kansas; and other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur.
