Mrs. Carl J. Moline, one of the early day residents of Union County, passed away Thursday, April 22, at the old home farm near Big Springs, at the age of 67 years, 11 months and 25 days. Her recent illness was of about two months duration. Funeral services were held Monday at the Big Springs Baptist Church and interment was made beside the grave of her husband in the cemetery nearby. Clara Louise Folk, was born in the Province of Nakie, Sweden, April 27, 1852. She was united in marriage to Carl J. Moline in 1874. The family immigrated to this country in 1880, arriving at Big Springs on the 22nd of June of that year. They located on the farm which has since been her home - a period of nearly 40 years. Her husband preceded her in death June 14, 1905. She is survived by four sons, Gust, Ernest, Oscar and Richard, all of Big Springs, and four daughters, Mrs. Jennie Johnson of Sioux City; Mrs. Bessie Sanford of Alcester, SD; Mrs. Olga Anderson of Hawarden Mrs. Nettie Johnston of Sioux City, and one step-daughter, Mrs. Holda Oberg. She also leaves nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She leaves one brother in Chicago and three sisters in Sweden. She was a splendid Christian woman and became a member of the Big Springs church, June 10, 1893. She was a good neighbor, a kind and indulgent mother, and will be greatly missed by a wide circle of friends. The sorrowing children have the sincere sympathy of the community in this sad hour.
