Obituary from Funeral Card - Memorial Funeral Home, Sioux Center, Iowa

John, son of Kryn & Marie Louwerse, was born on March 30, 1913, in Harrison, South Dakota. He received his education in the Sioux Center Christian School.

John married Gertrude Burgers on March 2, 1936, in Lebanon, Iowa. John lived in the Hawarden area where he farmed for thirty-two years. He was also active in the Christian Reformed Church and the Christian School. Later he moved to Sioux Center, Iowa, where he became a member of the Bethel Christian Reformed Church. Here he worked for the creamery and the City of Sioux Center until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Gertrude; two sons, Kenneth of Orange City, Iowa, and Rev. Anthony of Holland, Michigan; four daughters, Judith of Sioux Center, Iowa; Marie, Mrs. Donald Mulder, of Ireton, IA; Jo Ann, Mrs. Roger Obbink, of Hawarden, IA; and Gertrude, Mrs. Michael Van Regenmorter of Rock Valley, IA; three brothers: Marinus of Sioux Center, IA; Abraham of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; and James of Cocoa, Florida; nineteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, two brothers, and two infant grandchildren.

Buried: Memory Gardens, Sioux Center, Iowa.
