Mrs. De Vries Dies Near Here Funeral Services Held at Rock Valley For Resident of Garfield Township,Northeast of Hawarden Funeral services for Mrs. John De Vries, jr., who resided northeast of Hawarden in Garfield township, were held at Rock Valley last Friday afternoon.

Mrs. De Vries died Tuesday of last week after a long illness. She had been bedfast since January. Henrietta Vander Weerd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Vander Weerd of Rock Valley, was born January 31, 1920.

Survivors are her husband; two children, Annetta Joan, 8, and John Dale, 5; her parents and several brothers and sisters. Relatives who went from Hawarden to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. John De Vries and Mr. and Mrs. Lester De Vries, and also Mr. and Mrs. Edward De Vries and Pete De Vries of Bellflower, Calif.
