Boyden - Robert Moret, a lifetime resident of Sioux County, died Friday, April 9, following a long illness in the Orange City hospital. He was 72.

Born at Middleburg, May 1, 1881, he spent most of his life around Boyden. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Louis Van Roekel of Hull, by his first marriage and one by his second.

On November 10, 1922, he was married to Mrs. Nettie Verrips, to this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Robert Boonstra of Orange City. Also surviving are three step-children: Mrs. Oliver Meyer of Waterloo, IA; Howard Verrips of Boyden, and Mrs. Marvin Haaker of Mason City, IA; also nine grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Jake Newendorp of Sheldon; three brothers, Len; Hugo and John, all of Boyden. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Herman.

Services were held Monday afternoon in the First Ref. Church. Rev. Stuenburg officiated. Mrs. Ray Smit and Mrs. Henry Stuenburg sang "Going Down the Valley" and "Win Them One By One". Interment was made in the Boyden cemetery.
