Boyden - Gladys Maude Moret, 82, rural Boyden, died Wednesday, Oct. 17 at her home.

Services will be 11 a.m., today (Saturday, Oct. 20) at Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Boyden, with the Rev. Matthew Draffen officiating. Burial will be at Sheridan Township Cemetery in Boyden.

After the graveside services, relatives and friends are invited to join the family at the Demco Community Building in Boyden.

Gladys Moret, daughter of John & Mary (Chambers) Reimers, was born Feb. 10, 1919, on the family farm near Boyden. She received her education in country schools. She married Andrew Moret in August of 1940 in Boyden. They farmed in the Boyden area. They remained on the family farm after their retirement. Mr. Moret died Feb. 22, 1999, in Sheldon. She remained on the family farm.

She enjoyed being outdoors and helping her husband on the farm. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Survivors include a son, Gerald Moret of Troy, MO; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Reimers of Boyden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Moret, and a son, Verle Moret.
