Ruby C. Mouser
Mrs. Lee (Ruby C.) Mouser, age 95, of Granville died Thursday, Nov. 20, 1997 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Orange City after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 24 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville. Rev. Clem Currans officiated. Burial was at St. Joseph Cemetery in Granville under the direction of the Fisch Funeral Home, Remsen.

Ruby was born Sept. 3, 1902 at Elizabethtown, Ky., the daughter of Ed and Sarah (Hall) Gunning. She was raised and educated in the New Haven, Ky. Area and married Lee Mouser on Feb. 4,1920 at New Hope, Ky. The couple made their home near Hartley where they farmed for four years after which they moved to the Sutherland area and farmed for one year. They then moved into Primghar. In 1931 they moved to Paullina, and moved to Granville in April, 1933. Mrs. Mouser had been a resident of the Heritage House since March, 1993. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the church guild.

Survivors include her husband Lee of Orange City; four sons and their wives, Harold and Luella of Remsen, James and Phyllis of Dallas Center, Thomas and Gisela of Gulph Mills, Pa., and Ronald and Julia of Kure Beach, N.C.; four daughters, Maxine Jarman of Fullerton, Calif., Bernice Votruba of Alcester, S.D., Lois Wilkerson of Sioux City and Jean Moos ofPalisade,Colo.; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Norman (Madeline) Mouser of Ware, Mass.; 32 grandchildren; two step granddaughters; 45 great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Don and his wife Betty Gunning of Lebanon Junction, Ky.; a sister, Lucille and her husband Charles Rogan and a sister-in-law, Hazel Gunning, all of
Bardstown, Ky. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Rick (Ruth) Hoffman; two sons, Marion and Norman; two sons-in-law, Ronald Jarman and Stanley Votruba; two brothers, Guy and Edward Gunning; a sister, Georgia Bohan; a grandson; greatgrandson and a great-granddaughter
