Died: November 16, 2007 Sioux Center, Iowa

Marvin Wayne Prins, 69 of Sioux Center went home to be with the Lord Fri. Nov. 16, 2007 in Sioux Center.

A memorial service was Tues. at 11 a.m. at New Life Reformed Church with the Rev. Carl Boersma officiating. Interment was in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Sioux Center.

Prins was born March 28, 1938, in Hull, the son of Harry and Elizabeth Prins. He graduated from Sioux Center Community High School. He then served in the Air National Guard. On May 27, 1960, he married Rose Schuiteman. They spent their years together in Sioux Center. He owned and operated his own business as a painter and decorator until his retirement. As a parttime retiree, he worked at the local car wash.

He was active member of New Life Reformed Church. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, golfing, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors are his wife, Rose Prins of Sioux Center; son and his wife, Mike and Rhonda Prins of Houston, TX; daughter and her husband, Dawn and Gene Wubben of Sioux Falls; son and his wife, Bryan and Erin Prins of St. Louis, MO; daughter and her husband, Kim and Adam Schroeder of Le Mars; seven grandchildren; sister and her husband, Joan and Les Te Grotenhuis of Sioux Center; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Elizabeth Prins of Sioux Center.
