Margaret Pollema, 90 of Hull died Sat. May 4, at Valley Manor Nursing Home in Rock Valley.

Funeral services will be Thurs. May 9, at 1:30 p.m. at First Reformed Church in Hull with the Rev. Verlyn Boone officiating. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery in Hull with Oolman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Pollema was born August 22 1911 in rural Hull, the daughter of Harry W. and Hattie (Te Slaa) Miersma. She was raised at Hull. She married Sibolt Pollema at Hull March 22, 1932. They lived in Hull, where she was a homemaker. Her husband died Sept. 6, 1970 in Hull. She became a resident of Valley Manor in 1996.

She was a lifelong member of First Reformed Church in Hull where her grandparents were charter members. She enjoyed music.

Survivors include her two daughters, Wilmina Van Ravenswaay of Sioux Center and Hendrine and her husband Allan Faber of Rock Valley; five grandsons; one granddaughter; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother and his wife, Edward and Jean Miersma of Bellflower, CA; and two sisters-in-law, Margaret Miersma of Rock Valley and Susan Miersma of Artesia, CA.

She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Richard G. Van Ravenswaay; and four brothers, Wilmer, Gerrit and his wife Celia, Joe and his wife Mina, and Henry Miersma.
