Emery A. Pals, 90 of Hull died Saturday, April 6, at Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley.

Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday April 9 at First Christian Reformed Church in Hull with Rev. William Renkema officiating. Burial was in Hope Cemetery in Hull.

Pals was born Jan. 3, 1901 at Hull. He married Charlotte Otten at Hull Feb. 7, 1923. The couple farmed at Hull. She died Dec. 3, 1977 at Rock Valley. He moved into Hull in 1987 and had been a resident of Pleasant Acres Care Center the last year and a half.

He was a member of First Christian Reformed Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Adriana Van Iperen and Arlene Meerdink, both of Hartley, Bernice De Boer of Orange City and Wilma Grevengoed of Hull; a brother, Eric of Cadillac, MI; two sisters, Hillene Attema of Rock Valley and Irene Monsma of Silver Springs, MD; 20 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
