Forest W. "Frosty" Kennedy, 92, of Hawarden, died Monday, October 4, 1993, at the Hass Hillcrest Care Center in Hawarden. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 7, at the Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden with the Rev. Willard Galloway officiating. Burial will be in the Grace Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 6, with the family present from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Porter-Dow Funeral Home.

Mr. Kennedy was born March 2 1901, in Greenville, KY. He married Irma Ford in 1922 at Greenville. They came to Iowa where he worked on area farms. In 1934 he started farming for himself in Union County;, SD., upon retirement moved to Alcester SD. Irma died in 1974.

He is survived by a daughter, Joyce and her husband Don Sogn of Hawarden; a son, William and his wife Wanda of Hawarden; a sister, Christa Wynn of Dunmore, KY; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife; an infant son, Joseph; and two sisters, Mrs. R. C. (Dovey) Robertson and Mrs. Bess Miller.
