Funeral Rites 1:30 Here Friday for Mrs. A. Schimmel

Funeral services will be held at the First Reformed church in Sioux Center at 1:30 p.m. Friday for Mrs. Albert Schimmel, 75, long time resident of Sioux Center community, who died at the Sioux Center Community hospital Tuesday night after a brief illness.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. Harry Brower and burial will be made in the Sioux Center Community cemetery with Vander Ploeg's Funeral home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Schimmel had been admitted to the Nursing Wing of the Community hospital only last week.

Survivors include her husband of Sioux Center; a son, Arie, of Sioux Center; a daughter, Mrs. Wilbur (Harriet) Vermeer; three brothers, Henry W. Vermeer and Ted Vermeer of Sioux Center and John Vermeer of Orange City; two sisters, Mrs. Harold Beernink and Mrs. Henry DeVries of Sioux Center; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one child, Henrietta who died in infancy, and four brothers, William, Jake, Peter and Joe Vermeer.

Mrs. Schimmel was married in Sioux Center January 3, 1913.
