Harvey Hofmeyer, 61, of Alton, died Friday, January 22, in a hospital in Orange City.

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 25, at Reformed Church of Alton with the Rev. Raymond Tilstra officiating. Burial was in Nassau Township Cemetery.

Hofmeyer was born May 20, 1926, in Alton. He married Lois Vander Maaten September 2, 1947, at Alton. They farmed at Alton until 1975 when they moved to Alton. He was a member of Reformed Church where he served on the consistory.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Clifford of Sioux City, Rodney of Colorado, and Andrew of Alton; two daughters, June Mareau of Sloan and Cindy Menning of Bloomington, Illinois; and 11 grandchildren.
