Selma Siege, 83, of Maurice died Tuesday, March 8, in a nursing home in Le Mars.

Services were at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 11, at St. John's Lutheran Church of rural Ireton with the Rev. H. H. Schauland officiating. Burial was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.

Born April 7, 1904, in Sherman Township, Sioux County, she did secretarial and clerical work. She lived in Ireton, California, Chicago and the last 55 years on the family farm in rural Maurice.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She was a Sunday school superintendent, teacher and secretary-treasurer the last 52 years.

Survivors include a sister, Sylvia Chapman of Le Mars.
