Died: December 20, 2002 Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Galen Cyril Droge, 61, of Sioux Center died Fri. Dec. 20, 2002 at Royal C. Johnson Veterans Memorial Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Services will be at 7 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center, with the Rev. Gene Murray officiating.

Mr. Droge was born July 31, 1941 in Seneca, KS. to Walter and Bertha Droge. He graduated from St. Benedict's High School in St. Benedict, KS. He served in U.S. Air Force for eight years. He was a mechanic by trade most of his life.

While working in Burlington, Wis. at an egg processing plant, he met Barbara Kramer. They were married on May 26, 1983 in Racine, Wis. The couple later moved to Sioux Center. He worked as a mechanic in the Sioux Preme Egg Products maintenance dept. for many years. He then worked as a security guard at Packerland in Hospers, IA. before retiring.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; three sons, Galen Jr. of Denham, LA., Deno of Sunshine, LA, and Michael of Topeka KS.; a daughter, Lisa Frogosa of Round Rock, TX.; two stepchildren, Joseph Kramer and Diane Meiner, both of Wis.; six grandchildren; three brothers, Virgil and Walter both of Topeka, and Bill of Kansas City KS.; and three sisters, Wilma Gockel of St. Mary's KS, Lete Haug of Holton, KS, and Mary Jane Stattelman of Topeka.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Domonic Frogosa; and a brother, Lester.
