One of the saddest deaths of many months occurred at the Chris Lancaster home one mile south of Maurice last Friday when their little two year old boy took sick with laryngeal diphtheria and died the next day in the afternoon. The little on had to be buried immediately and interment was made at the Seney cemetery.

James Lancaster who took the remains to Seney said it was just like stealing the child from its grieved parents who still remain under quarantine to await further developments. No other members of the family have contracted the malady as yet. This sorrowing home certainly has the sympathy

(Found a Christ Lancaster living in Elgin Plymouth county IA in 1910, he was 34 yrs, his wife Mary E. was also 34 yrs They had two children.)
