Sanborn - Funeral services were held March 29 at the First Reformed Church of Sanborn for Dick De Vries, 80, who died March 25 at his home. Rev. Gerald Osland officiated. Burial was in the Roseland Cemetery with Sanborn Funeral Home Service in charge.

Dick De Vries, son of Jacob & Mary De Vries, was born in Hospers on January 10, 1902. He was united in marriage to Agnes Steenhoven of Hull on November 3, 1955 at Matlock. After their marriage they farmed until 1968 when they moved into Sanborn.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes of Sanborn; two daughters, Mary (Mrs. Jerry) Toms of Sac City, and Susan (Mrs. Marvin) Van Veldhuizen of Sutherland; six grandchildren; one brother, Gerrit of Sanborn; and two sisters, Coba Krikke of Sibley and Lucy Baker of Richfield, MN.
