Carmel services for Mrs. J. Feekes
Funeral services for Mrs. Johanna(Borgman) Feekes, 71, who died Tuesday after a year's illness were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Carmel Reformed church. Rev. William Kolenbrander officiated and burial was in Carmel cemetery under direction of the Cooperative funeral service of Sioux Center.

Mrs. Feekes, a resident of the Carmel vicinity 48 years, was born June 10, 1889, in Sioux Center. She was married to Gerrit B. Feekes November 6, 1913, at Sioux Center. They had lived on a farm near Carmel ever since.

Survivors include the widower; a son, Melvin, of Santa Maria, Cal.; three daughters, Mrs. Tony De Jong of Rock Valley, Ia.; Mrs. Howard Leowen, of Granville, Ia., and Mrs. Richard H. Van Voorst, of Sioux Center; 12 grandchildren, and 10 sisters. Mrs. Dora De Bey, of San
