Mrs. Minnie Feenstra, age 80, of Orange City, died Thursday, December 3, 1992 at the Orange City Municipal Nursing Home.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 7 at 10:30 A.M. at the First Christian Reformed Church in Orange City. The Rev. Ralph A. Pontier officiated. Interment followed at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home in Orange City.

Minnie was born May 11, 1912 in The Netherlands, the daughter of John and Jennie (Gros) Westra. As a young child, she came to the United States with her family. They settled at Orange City and later moved to Ocheyedan.

On November 29, 1930, she married Dick Feenstra, Jr. at Sibley. They farmed in Sioux County, mostly at Ireton. In 1976 they moved to Orange City. He died September 14, 1980 at Orange City.

For 10 years, Mrs. Feenstra was employed in the laundry department of the Heritage House in Orange City. She became a resident of the Orange City Municipal Hospital and Nursing Home in 1990. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church.

Survivors include three sons, Roger and his wife Cindy of Panama City, Florida, and Dennis and his wife Arlys, and Alvin and his wife Trudy all of Orange City; 15 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Wilma Van Zee of Glenwood, Minnesota, Dorothy Kleinhesselink of Orange City and Irene English of Denver, Colorado; and two brothers, Gerrit Drost of Rushmore, Minnesota, and Ruby Drost of Orange City.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
