From the Rock Valley Bee, November 24, 1905: Hull Happenings:
S. H. Coon, formerly of this place, died of cancer at Cherokee last Friday and was buried at his home in Trosky, Minn., Sunday. The deceased was an honorable, upright man and enjoyed the friendship of everybody in Hull and vicinity.

S. H. Coons, a former Hull resident known to many of our readers, died at the Cherokee hospital, last Friday, of tubicular cancer. His remains were interred in the Trosky, Minnesota cemetery, Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Aloee Deitz former residents of Hull---but now located in a town near Davenport stopped in Hull a few days this week to visit old acquaintances. They have just returned from Trosky Minnesota where they had been attending the funeral of Mrs. Deitz's father--S. H. Coon--who died at Cherokee where he had gone for treatment for Cancer. The deceased was for many years a resident of Hull. He is buried at Edgerton.

A search of Ancestry.com was unsuccessful in locating him with a 1905 death year or a Cherokee or Hull residence. The Trosky, Minn., cemetery does not appear to be indexed on the Pipestone County GenWeb site or otherwise online.
