Ted J. Feekes, 82, Canton, South Dakota died Friday, December 25, 1992, in the Canton-Inwood Hospital.

Mr. Feekes was born March 4, 1910, near Camel, Iowa in Sioux County. He grew up in the Sioux Center and Rock Valley, Iowa areas. He married Grace Lems on January 10, 1935, in Rock Valley. They farmed in that area until March 1964. From 1964 until he retired in 1981, he drove truck and was custodian in the Canton-Inwood Hospital and Linn Grove High School, Linn Grove, Iowa.

His wife died January 2, 1980.

He married Rosemary Sampson on January 16, 1981, in Hudson. They lived in the Canton area.

Survivors include his wife, Rosemary; three sons: Russell and Vern, both of Canton; and Leroy, Inwood, Iowa; two daughters: Mrs. Eugene (Lavone) Cornelius, Canton; and Mrs. Ed (Sharon) Rus, Hudson; five stepchildren: Mrs. Francis (Nancy) Sehr, Canton; Amy Chistine, Lincoln, NB; Mrs. Lynn (Lori) Grocott, Humboldt; Kerry Brokaw, Salt Lake, Utah; and Marty Sampson, Sioux Falls; a brother, Henry, Rock Valley, Iowa; and a sister, Mrs. Ed (Catherine) VanderVliet, Sioux Center, Iowa.

Services were held at 10 A.M. Tuesday in the United Methodist Church, Canton, with burial in Eden Cemetery, Hudson.

Anderson Funeral Home of Canton, South Dakota was in charge of arrangements.
