Funeral services for John Feikema, 78, were held Wednesday at the Christian Reformed Church at Leota, Minnesota.

Mr. Feikema was born at Franeker, Friesland, the Netherlands, on February 10, 1878. He came to the United States in 1895 and settled in Sioux Center. In 1911 he married Hattie Sybesma and the family lived in the Hawarden vicinity for 27 years, then north of Sioux Falls, South Dakota for six years and the last nine years near Leota, Minnesota.

Survivors include the widow, Hattie, and six children, Frank at home, Clarence of Luverne, Minnesota, Bernard of Hawarden, Mrs. Steve Brockhouse of Edgerton, Minnesota, Mrs. Henry De Bie of Artesia, California, and Mrs. Dewey Van Zanten of Colton, South Dakota. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. S. Gerritsma of Sioux Center.

He was preceded in death by three children, eight brothers and two sisters.
