Clifford Allen Vanden Berg, 35 of Sioux Center died Friday July 16, near Salem, South Dakota.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. at Netherlands Reformed Church in Sioux Center with the Rev. John den Hoed officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Sioux Center.

Vanden Berg was born Dec. 5, 1963 in Sioux Center, the son of John and Judina (Van Tilburg) Vanden Berg. He graduated from the Rock Valley Public School. He married Deloris Rose Zomer on July 5, 1985 in Sioux Center. He had been employed at Vande Berg Scales since 1980.

He was a member of the Netherlands Reformed Congregation in Sioux Center. His hobbies and interests included toy trucks and toy tractors.

Survivors include his wife; daughter Dawn Renae; son; Christopher Allen; his parents of Hull; a brother Brad and his wife Mary of Armour, S. D.; a sister Jolene and her husband James Vander Veer of Newton; seven nieces; five nephews; grandparents, James and Greta Van Voorst of Sioux Center and Ben J. Vanden Berg of Rock Valley; parents-in-law Alvin and Lois Zomer of Sioux Center; three brothers-in-law Michael and Kim Zomer of Grand Rapids, MI. Mark and Karla Zomer of Rock Valley and Ryan of Sioux Center.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Coba Vanden Berg, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Case Van Tilburg.
