Albert the three year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Hagen died at the William Taylor home six miles northeast of Ireton on November twelfth 1907 from obstruction of the bowels. Funeral services ere conducted last Friday from the United Presbyterian church at Ireton by Rev. Wallace and interment was made at the Ireton cemetery. The child had been operated upon but did not survive the ordeal.

(From a death record the child was born 14 Jun 1903 Iowa and died 12 Nov 1907 Ireton. The parents listed were Gerrit Hogan (Hagen) and Mary Peterson. The 1910 census list Gerrit Hagen 1871 Neth. and wife Mary 1881 children Enga 9, Artol 4, Henry 3 and Mary 2.)
