Mrs. Abe Falkena died Thursday afternoon, May 25, at 3 o’clock. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband and daughter, Coba, age 9. Of her own family there are her mother, step-father, six brothers, and one sister. Two of her brothers are living in Germany, and her sister is living in Netherlands. Two brothers live in Nebraska and two live near Pella.

Mrs. Grace (Remmenga) Falkena was 38 years old at the time of her death. She has been ailing for the past year with Hoskins disease, and for the past 19 weeks was been confined to bed.

She was born in the Netherlands and came to America 13 years ago with her mother and three brothers. They settled near Pella and later she went to Michigan with her mother while in Michigan she married Abe Falkena on August 23, 1922, and shortly after moved to Sioux Center. Mr. and Mrs. Falkena have been living on the farm since.

The funeral was held on Monday afternoon, May 29, in the First Reformed Church, Rev. Brunsting officiating.
