Rites Held For Mrs. Hoese, 57 Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Hoese, 57, who died Friday in California, were held at 2 o' clock Wednesday afternoon at the Barnard Funeral home. Rev. Chester Cuslcr, pastor of the Methodist church, officiated with burial in Grace Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Hoese was a former Hawarden resident, and a cousin of Will, Ralph and Warren Gregg of Hawarden. Florence Gregg was born at Worthington MN Oct 27,1900 daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Daniel Gregg, and moved to Hawarden with her parents at the age of 2. She was graduated from
Hawarden high school. She married William Hoese of Spencer, S. D., where they lived for several years. She spent many years in Cedar Rapids where she was employed. Recently she joined
her daughters in Altadena, Calif.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Beverly Euken and Miss Janet Hoese of Altadena, Calif.; a son, William Hoese of New York City; two brothers, Roy Gregg of Dell Rapids, S. D., and Dan Gregg of California; three sisters, Mrs. Lela Hall of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Isabelle Hendrickson of Spearfish, S. D., and Mrs. Edna Brunskill of Myrtle, S. D., and two grandchildren. A brother, Dr. John Gregg, and a sister, Mrs. Jessie Reed, preceded her in death.
