Mrs Gerrit Fedders, sr. died Saturday, June 23 in Grossmann hospital after an illness of eight weeks. She had undergone a major operation. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 26 in the First Christian Ref. church with Rev. R. Bronkema in charge. Burial was in the local cemetery with A. D. Van Etten in charge of arrangements.

Mrs Fedders, nee Nellie Hofland, was born in South Holland, Netherlands, 73 year ago. She came to America at the age of 11 with her parents and they settled in Sioux County.

She was married March 5, 1903 and to this union were born the following children, Ben of Orange City, Kate (Mrs John Jasper) of Ireton, John, Gerrit, Marinus, Herman and Grace, (Mrs Neal Dykhuizen all of Orange City. Two children died in infancy.

Also surviving are 21 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs Arie Tensen of Sheldon her twin, Mrs Vollink also of Sheldon. Mrs John Peters of Hospers, and a brother, Jacobus Hofland of Orange City.

Those from afar coming for the last rites were Mr and Mrs Charles Navis and Mr and Mrs Cornie Damsteeg of Wisconsin and many from Sheldon, Sanborn, Ireton and Hospers
