Arnold "Barney" Feauto, 81, of Hawarden, died Thursday, May 6, 2004 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City. Funeral Mass was May 10-at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hawarden with Father LeRoy Seuntjens officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery at Hawarden. Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden was in charge of arrangements.

Arnold W. "Barney" Feauto was born Oct. 11,1922 in Akron, the son of Ambrose and Clara Buryanek. He married Phyllis McCorkell. He later married Violet Kryger Wycoff in 1965 in Yankton. Barney was employed in construction and with the Robb Ross Company in Sioux City. He working in packing plants, including Kane Beef in Hawarden.

Survivors include his wife, Violet; son, Gary Feauto of Glendora, Calif; two daughters, Arliss Blodgett of San Diego, Calif, and Sandy Listen of Hawarden; three brothers, Vincent of Akron, Orville of Hawarden and Kenneth of Fort Dodge; three sisters, Florence Williams of Sioux City, Dorothy Carman of Sioux City and Mary Lou (Feauto) Hoeck of Hawarden; a sister-in-law, Norma Jean Feauto of Sioux City; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Steven; three brothers, Raymond, Lawrence and Ronald; and a brother-in-law, Harry Williams.
