Walter Sas, 78, died after an illness of a few weeks at his home in Orange City. Services were held Wednesday at the First Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Bronkema officiating. He was married to Dorothy (Groot) Sas. She died in 1937.

He is survived by his three daughters, Mrs. P. Schaap and Mrs. P. Kruizenga and Mrs. Vogelaar of California.

Burial took place at Orange City, Iowa.
